High-Agency Human Operators delivering relentless AI-First Execution, working alongside you to build Massive Business Value at early-stage startups

Meet Your
VirtualCyborg

Cyborgs are AI-Native Founder Associates.

They are high‑ownership generalists with practical AI-first and professional agentic skills. They plug into your early-stage team, drive outcomes without management, and keep quality human-led. Cyborgs adapt fast as AI improves, automating more while upskilling into gaps.

Virtual Cyborg — AI-native Chief of Staff

High Agency, Low Overhead, Proactive Value

Cyborgs take initiative, self unblock with AI, and execute independently; if no project is queued, they build context across your business, product, and customers, propose worthwhile projects, and drive the one you greenlight.

Professional (Practical) Vibe Builders

Cyborgs are Agentic AI savvy operators who use agents to build real business value, not slop. They're not software engineers, they're tech power users trained in professional agentic tooling skills. As tooling improves, they continuously upskill to unlock more cross functional capabilities.

AI-First Approach

They collaborate with models and modern AI tools to compress learning curves and increase productivity, while staying fully accountable for judgment, quality, and ultimately — results.

Goal Based Operator

When objectives are loosely defined, a Cyborg turns intent into ultra lightweight proposals you can approve (or adjust), then runs execution independently and checks in at logical checkpoints.

Detail Oriented, Reliable Execution

For everyday task execution, Cyborgs are built to be boringly reliable: close attention to detail, process driven, and trustworthy with sensitive information. Because founders only get leverage when trust is earned and maintained.

Adaptable, Continuously Upskilled

The Cyborg archetype was forged inside a YC AI startup and it keeps evolving. As AI improves, Cyborgs adopt new AI capabilities fast and continuously train into higher-order gaps.

Why Founders Hire VirtualCyborgs

Tactically

Cyborgs deliver ultra-competitive productivity from the (moving) edge of what AI now makes possible (and practical).

The Cyborg archetype was forged inside a venture-backed Y Combinator startup. Modern AI startups are building organizations from first principles around AI. Our hands-on experience in this environment allowed us to understand how AI was reshaping core business functions, and witness how a new shape of talent (high fluid intelligence generalists) could be (continuously) trained to leverage AI to deliver enormous value in an early stage context.

Strategically

We're built by founders to serve founders (and we dogfood our own product).

Our understanding of modern startup founder needs goes much deeper than tactics. Our team is led by serial entrepreneurs with a hard-earned track record (of results). We know the two hardest problems early-stage founders face are Distribution (getting your message out in a brutal noise-to-signal environment) and Innovation (knowing what to build).

For technical founders, building itself is the known quantity.

Practically

Here's how it actually ships.

We continuously train Cyborgs to autonomously create value in Distribution and Innovation. Then we complement those strategic focuses with one additional practical focus — taking operational toil off your back. AdminOps and PeopleOps are dead-weight costs on founder attention. Your Cyborg shoulders this burden so you can focus on what matters most: designing the right product for what the market genuinely demands, and building a team that can grow it.

The End Result

Bolt-on founder leverage (your productivity increases) and bolt-on cross-functional execution (your business grows and innovates faster).

The Ongoing Result

The only constant in the post-AI world is rapid change. We work hard to understand the practical applied AI edge, and we continuously upskill Cyborgs at this edge so you don't have to.

Growth Engineering & GTM

AI has transformed GTM, but fundamentally GTM has always reduced down to the communication of purpose-built value to a targeted audience. AI has changed the mechanics, not the objective.

AI has killed volume-first demand gen, as machine-generated activity flooded channels with slop, but new opportunities exist. Product creates fundamental demand; applied GTM expands product-led demand. Relationships remain the strongest channel, and Founder-led Marketing scales them.

Cyborgs are trained in GTM fundamentals then post-trained in AI-first PLG and FLM skills that are effective in the post-AI world.

Founder-Led Marketing (FLM)

Founder-led Marketing is a high-trust channel that cuts through the noise because founder voice is (1) valuable, (2) scarce, and (3) is self-policing against spam (founder reputation is at stake).

Cyborgs do not create that voice; they amplify it. They continuously add high-value relationships to the founder's network (digital and in-person, including tradeshows) and turn raw founder material into refined clips and posts with a strict quality bar and founder-in-the-loop approval, because the point is to build trust, not torch it.

Product-Led Growth (PLG)

In PLG, the product starts the relationship. Cyborgs use behavioral analytics to find value, friction, and drop-off, then drive engagement through automated, behavior-triggered outreach, better docs to help humans and agents self-serve, and public proof that turns customer wins into new demand.

AdminOps & PeopleOps

Theory

AdminOps and PeopleOps are unglamorous but essential toil. Your Cyborg handles them with boringly consistent success, earning your trust so you can focus on building.

Trust is the keystone of delegation that unlocks founder leverage. A founder must fully trust that toil delegated to their Cyborg will be executed competently, and consistently. Without that trust, leverage inverts due to oversight costs.

Cyborgs understand that trusted execution of toil is what keeps everything moving. Toil is low-uncertainty work. Since success should be certain, failures carry an outsized cost to trust. If the Cyborg genuinely believes they cannot successfully own the task, that must be communicated proactively (allowing you to weigh risks or re-route execution).

Cyborgs know: Taking toil off a founders plate is high ROI (and greatly appreciated!). But if a founder has to clean up failed execution, it would have been faster to do it themselves (and future delegation becomes suspect).

Cyborgs are trained to maximize operational efficiency without compromising successful execution Automation is applied where possible, with the clear understanding that durable, consistent success is the primary objective.

Efficiency is impossible without high reliability — operational failure carries heavy costs.

The goal is to leverage agentic automation where possible — but “possible” only counts when results are consistently high-quality. If that bar isn't met, the automation isn't possible. Accept it, move on, and reevaluate when the models and tools improve.

Practice

Here's how a Cyborg removes toil from your day-to-day:

01

Cyborg collaborates with you to identify operational tasks that can be taken off your plate.

02

Cyborg runs a quick research and planning phase (depth depends on task complexity), executes manually and slowly the first time to internalize context, then documents the process into a step-by-step plan.

03

Cyborg identifies where automation can be applied (Claude CoWork for arbitrary browser-based automation, plus dedicated tools and workflows as appropriate).

04

To make execution boringly consistent, Cyborg builds lightweight scheduling and tracking systems around recurring tasks (default is Slack project tools, but Cyborgs are capable in any flavor: Linear, JIRA, Trello, etc.).

05

You reclaim time and energy, confident your Cyborg understands that protecting your confidence in their ability to execute delegated work correctly every single time is the single most important factor that makes delegation possible.

06

Project tooling provides observability into what's being done, plus an audit trail on what's been completed.

Real Examples of Cyborg-Owned Toil

The list of tasks a Cyborg can handle is effectively infinite. If a smart generalist can do it (and automate it), your Cyborg can too. Here are real examples pulled from serious startups.

AdminOps

  • Custom invoicing & building invoicing systems (automated tickets, checklists, validation)
  • Tax-related filings and compliance (Franchise, B&O, Employer/Contractor reporting, etc)
  • SOC code compliance
  • Global hardware provisioning (customs duties & import tariffs, logistics)
  • Edge case expense reimbursement

PeopleOps

  • Payroll & Health Insurance administration
  • Recruiting (Processing candidates through ATS and building automations)
  • H-1B Visa/Immigration Processing & Support
  • Multi-state/nation compliance (team across jurisdictions)
  • Team onboarding/offboarding
  • Gathering employee feedback from stakeholders (external & internal)

EA / Chief-of-Staff

  • Vendor/Solution Research (AI-first research on public web, Cyborg-led calls with external representatives, call transcripts rolled up and piped to you)
  • Acquisition review support (coordinating discreetly with attorneys and internal stakeholders)
  • Assembling pre-acquisition materials (financial documents, governance documents, IP documents, customer disclosures)
  • Post-acquisition migration of systems of record, employee transition support

Product Innovation & AI‑Assisted CS

Cyborgs understand that early-stage product innovation and customer support are two sides of the same coin.

Early support issues that punch through agentic customer support and require human responses have potential to surface meaningful gaps in the product itself, or in the surrounding self-service experience and documentation.

Product Innovation Feedback Gathering

Cyborgs are trained to transition (appropriate) support issues into lightweight customer interviews (we apply the principles outlined in Rob Fitzpatrick's "The Mom Test"). Interview transcripts and walkthrough experience recordings are piped up to your product design leadership.
